The user has the option of clicking Cancel if he or she has doubts about performing the operation. If the user is not an administrator, the user must provide administrator credentials to run the program. Because Admin Approval mode requires an administrator to approve application installations, unauthorized applications cannot be installed automatically or without the explicit consent of an administrator. Administrators always receive a warning and need to take affirmative action before any software can be installed.

UAC, by default, gives a user the option of elevating his or her privileges in order to perform an administrator task. A standard user needs to supply the password of an administrator account. An administrator needs only to give the program permission to continue. When the task is complete, the user account reverts to running as a standard account. As Figure 5-7 shows, four types of user accounts exist: the built-in Administrator account, administrator accounts, standard accounts, and the built-in Guest account.

In addition to automating the configuration of the Web Proxy client, you can also configure your environment so that the Web Proxy clients can discover the correct location to download the configuration automatically. This also applies to Firewall clients. For a Web Proxy client or a Firewall Client to connect to an ISA Server computer, you must configure the browser or Firewall Client to forward Internet requests to a specific ISA Server computer. If the ISA Server computer becomes unavailable or if you want to use a different ISA Server computer, you must change this configuration before the client will connect to an ISA Server computer. When you enable Automatic Discovery, Firewall clients and Web Proxy clients can automatically find an ISA Server computer on the network.
